Getting the Map
and the Red Key |
| |
| 1. D1o: When you begin the game you will
fall to the bottom of D1o. Get the map icon on the right platform.
Press "m" to open the map. Notice the buttons labeled "i"
and "o". These will toggle the map between the inside and
outside of SkyTower. Blinking lights in the display show the locations
of robot parts and special upgrades. You can go ahead and press the
"X" in the center or press "m" on your keyboard
to close the map. Proceed through the door at the bottom right of
the screen. |
| |
| 2. D2i: Ignore the red door to your right
and jump up the platforms to the top of the screen. Jump in the teleporter.
This will take you to the next level. NOTE: Teleporters are the only
way between levels. So keep an eye out. If you fall through a screen,
you'll just respawn from where you entered. |
| |
| 3. E2i: Go through the door on your right. |
| |
| 4. E3o: Make your way through the moving
platforms and take a left at the top of the screen. |
| |
| 5. E2o: THE KEY
ROOM- You will see the key in the top left corner of the
screen blocked off by an electric wall(you will respawn if you touch
these). Drop to the ledge below you and hit the blue button, deactivating
the electric field. Continue down and use the moving platforms to
reach the key. NOTE: If you are having trouble with the timing try
hitting the switch immediately upon respawning. |
| |

| |
Getting the Heavy
Ball |
| |
| 1. E2i: After getting the Red Key, go
back to E2i the same way you came, jump on the moving platform, through
the electric field, and exit top left. |
| |
| 2. E1i: Open the Red Door by simply touching
it. You'll need to reach the teleporter by hitting the switch above
you. Get passed the pulsing walls to the teleporter, being careful
not to overdo the jump at the bottom. |
| |
| 3. F1i: INSIDE
THE LASER ROOM- If you've already been to F1o, you will
recognize this device as the innards of the laser that fires off at
approximately 11 o'clock. You will need to set it so that it destroys
the rocks barricading a door on F1o. To do so, hit the switches using
the combination 2,3 or 1,4. That's it. You can leave this room and
make your way back to F1o. If you can't remember how to get back use
the following: F1i->E1i->E2i->E3o->E2o->E1o->F1o. |
| |
| 4. F1o: Hit the switch. Blamo! a new door
appears to your right. Proceed through the door. |
| |
| 5. F2i: HEAVY
BALL CHAMBER- You'll see the Heavy Ball locked in the middle
of a mini-tower with ledges, colored swatches, and corresponding lights.
You will need to activate all the lights around the Heavy Ball to
open the mini-tower. This part requires speed and may take a couple
of tries. Start by activating the switch below. Buttons will appear
on each ledge with a green swatch. For the following sequence buttons
will be indicated by left/right and color, ie. lGB = left green, blue
ledge. |
| |
| Button Sequence: lBG,
lBP, lBG, lG, rGY, rG, rB, rYPB, lBG, rYPB, lP, rYPB |
| (there are other sequences, but this seems
to be the fastest) |
| |
| You can now exit the room by using your
new power up. Hold space and release to execute a dash through the
cracked brick on the right. |
| |

| |
Getting the Light
Ball |
| |
| 1. D2i: starting from the room with the
title of the game exit left through the Red Door. |
| |
| 2. D3o: Ooooh! pretty tree. Take the teleporter
in the trunk. |
| |
| 3. C3o: Head left through the door. |
| |
| 4. C2i: Jump over the electric walls on
the floor and hit the switch on the left. Quickly, go back towards
the door and up to the ledge where the electric wall was just deactivated.
Hit the top switch and quickly back down to the bottom of the screen
to the left teleporter. |
| |
| 5. B2i: LIGHTNING
PLATFORMS- Head down to the platform with the lightning
symbol. You may notice this is the same symbol when you picked up
the Heavy Ball. Press "s" to switch to the Heavy Ball. While
on the platform, hold space to charge. If you pressed the left arrow
key before charging you will head in that direction. Release the space
bar to dash left. The platform will move with you. You can play around
with combinations of space bar and arrow key to get through the pulsing
electric walls. Safer still is to use the dash without pressing any
direction keys. Once you've safely passed the electric walls, exit
left through the door top left of the screen. |
| |
| 6. B1o: You're now faced with a massive
jump. Make sure you've switched back to normal. Get a rolling start
for the jump by backing into the door you entered from. When the ball
lands on the narrow shaft, jump again so you don't get rejected by
the opposite wall. Down the shaft is the teleporter. |
| |
| 7. A1o: There she is! Continue to the
right. |
| |
| 8. A2o: Try the switch. Not working, huh?
Follow the wires running under the switch. Exit right. |
| |
| 9. A3o: THE ENERGY
SUCKER & THE LIGHT BALL- If you jump you'll see the
problem with the previous switch; a mean looking robot is draining
the power supply. You'll need to cut off its access by using the weird
device in the middle. Hit it's red switch and electric prongs appear
redirecting the power from all the towers. You will also notice a
red button that appeared on the tower being drained by the robot.
Use the lowest fall-away platform to get to the first tower. Pressing
the switch will enclose the tower's electric beam with a glass lens
and redirect the robot to the next tower. Go back to the main tower
to activate it. This time use the fall-away platforms to your right
to activate the second tower. Once more to the main tower. The third
and final tower is at the very top. Hopefully you've left enough fall-away
platforms to reach it. If not, you'll need to respawn and start from
the beginning. NOTE: fall-away platforms start to break on contact
no matter which direction you're coming from. Once you've activated
all the towers, you can go back to the switch in A2o. This switch
will extend a platform to the left so you can get the Light Ball. |
| |
| The Light Ball can do a double jump, which
comes in handy on getting back to the top of SkyTower. Simply press
up again after jumping and you'll propel yourself higher. Go back
to A3o, staying to the top of the screen and use the teleporter to
get to B3o. Try your double jump here. |
| |

Getting a 100%:
Robot Part Locations |
| |
| 1. D2o: TORSO-
It's best to retrieve this part at the beginning of the game, so you
don't forget about it. From D1o, where you first start, head right
using the ledge above the door. |
| |
| 2. F2o: HAND-
After getting the Heavy Ball head right using the dash. Then proceed
left through the opening in the middle of the left screen with the
normal ball. The hand is smack-dab in the middle of F2o. You can't
miss it. |
| |
| 3. E2i: HIP-
Upon entering this room you won't be able to see the robot hip. You'll
need to first go to E1i. You will also need the Red Key and the Heavy
Ball if you haven't gotten them yet. Once in E1i, jump up to ledge
with the switch above you. Transform to the Heavy Ball and dash right
through the wall with a crack. Don't worry if there's no floor between
you and the cracked wall. The dash will take you across swiftly. Right
dash again and you'll be back in E2i. Now the top wall will disappear
revealing the hip. To get back to the main part of the room, stand
over the vanishing floor piece with the red circle. |
| |
| 4. B2i: ROCKET
BOOSTER- You don't need any of the ball upgrades for this
one, but it's recommended to already have the Heavy Ball so you don't
have to come back. The rocket booster is located on a platform directly
below the first lightning platform. Drop from the platform and lean
right. Once you've gotten the rocket booster, it's easiest to just
fall to your death and respawn to finish the room. |
| |
| 5. C1o: SHOULDER-
You'll need the Light Ball for this one. After getting this upgrade
go to C3o, the room below the "pretty" tree. With the Light
Ball head right from the teleporter and off the ledge. Immediately
press left after falling and double jump to reach the lower left ledge
in this room. This technique can take several tries. Be patient. Remember,
if you fall you'll just respawn. Also, try staying as close to the
ledge as possible when you fall off and time your double jump right
below the intersection of the light and dark root. Once you've overcome
this task head left through the passage in C2o to get to C1o where
you'll find the Shoulder nestled in a cross-like platform with a narrow
entrance below. Use the Light Ball and jump on the bottom moving platform.
When you are directly below the Shoulder double jump to get it. You
can wait it out in here until the bottom platform is clear again,
or you can just die and respawn. You won't be able to get back the
way you came, but you can use the door with the surrounding ledge.
Get directly above the cracked ledge and change to the Heavy Ball.
Time to perform a downward smash. Hold the space bar and press up.
The Heavy Ball will float in air until you let go. Once you do you
will smash right through those pesky delapidated bricks. |
| |
| 6. D3o: ARM-
Again, you will need the Light Ball. In the tree you will see the
arm teasing you to get it. Double jumping from below is useless. You'll
need to find another way to get it. Try going back to the start of
the game, D1o. There's a ledge at the very top of the left screen
you couldn't reach before with the other balls. Use this passage to
get back to D3o and directly above the leaves of the tree. Drop into
the tree and feel your way around until you get the Arm. You can drop
through the leaves on the left to get back to the main part of this
room. |
| |
| 7. H3o: LEG-
You can use the normal ball to get this part, but it's best to save
time if you wait until you have all upgrades before proceeding. Jump
up the ledges in G3o to get to a teleporter in the top right of the
screen. Do a quick and tricky jump to get the Leg. Once you've gotten
the piece drop to your death and respawn directly in the teleporter. |
| |
| 8. G1o: HEAD-
This is an easy one. But if you're stuck it's located at the top of
the tower with moving clouds. You'll need the Light Ball to clear
the ledge in G2o and proceed to G1o. |
| |
| 9. H2i: HEART
& ENDING OF THE GAME- This is the last and final piece
to collect before ending the game. NOTE: you can get this piece without
the others and still finish. You'll need all your upgrades for this. |
| |
| First, in G1o, where the Head was located, you may have noticed
a teleporter in the top left screen. It's way too high for even
the double jump. However, if you jump in the moving clouds you'll
be able to perform consecutive double jumps with the Light Ball.
This can be tricky since the double jump is executed immediately
upon exiting a moving cloud if the up arrow is still pressed.
An easy way is to start from G2o and double jumping into the
cloud on the left. This should get you to the very top of the
screen. Once at the top head left to G1o. Do a double jump from
the first cloud on your left to reach the teleporter. |
| |
| Next, go through the bottom right door in H1o. In H2i you
will notice the Heart in the center of the room completed enclosed
by electric walls. You'll need to turn those off first. Continue
right through the bottom right door. In H3o, with the Light
Ball, line up under the middle of the fall-away platforms. You
will be able to use the fall-away platforms third from bottom
to boost yourself up and break the remaining bricks above. Go
through the top left door. Use the Heavy Ball in H2i to cross
the lightning platform to get to H1o. Here you will need to
drop down, activate the switch, drop through the vanishing floor
piece, and head back through the bottom right door. This room
is now changed and you will have very little head room to get
across the gap. Switch to the Light Ball and quickly double
jump across to H3o. Double jump to the platform above you and
back through the middle door to H2i. |
| |
| Finally, in H2i, you'll need to activate both switches to
get to the Heart. The first switch on the left is easy to get
to. Just avoid touching the electric walls along the way. Once
you've activated the switch, the electric wall blocking your
way to the right switch will clear. However, now you will need
to avoid the pulsing electric walls and falling through the
floor. The final switch will clear the electric wall below the
Heart, while activating the rest of the walls. You will notice
that the horizontal electric walls pulse between solid and electric
floors, while the vertical pulses remain electric. Wait for
the first floor to appear to your right. Roll over to the first
intersection point and wait until the middle electrical pulse
above you has cleared for a second to make the jump. You can
continue to double jump to get the Heart. If you don't make
it on the first try you should land on the pulsing solid floor
below to make a second attempt. Once you've gotten the Heart
the pulses all go away and your way is clear to the middle left
door to get to H1o. Here you will need to change to the Heavy
Ball and dash through the bricks. Advance to the top-most level,
I1o via the teleporter. Head right to I2o and you will find
your MR-15 robot completely mangled. Make your way to the chest
and jump in the hole to end the game. |
